Welcome to Luie, a voice-activated assistant designed to support autistic people By using the Luie app or website (collectively, "Services"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Services.
1. Who We Are
My Luie (“Luie,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is the creator of the Luie app. Our mission is to provide a supportive, easy-to-use virtual assistant tailored to the needs of autistic people.
2. Using Luie
2.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
By using Luie, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
2.2 Permitted Use
You may use Luie for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You agree not to misuse the app or use it for anything illegal, harmful, or abusive.
2.3 Prohibited Actions
You may not:
Attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with the app.
Share misleading or harmful information generated by Luie.
Interfere with Luie’s functionality, such as by attempting to hack or disrupt its systems.
3. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. During the beta testing program, we do not store user data. Instead, we analyze logs, user feedback, and device-specific app performance data (if applicable) to identify bugs and improve Luie. All details about how we collect and use information are explained in our Privacy Policy.
4. Updates to Luie
We may update the app to improve its functionality or fix bugs. Updates may be applied automatically. By using the app, you agree to receive these updates.
5. Ownership and Intellectual Property
We own all rights, titles, and interests in Luie, including its design, features, and software. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of Luie without our written permission.
6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
6.1 Disclaimers
Luie is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we strive to make it helpful and reliable, we cannot guarantee that the app will always be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Luie is not a substitute for professional advice. For example:
In emergencies, always call 911 or local emergency services.
Do not rely on Luie for medical, legal, or financial decisions.
6.2 Liability Cap
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for:
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or personal inconvenience.
Any damages resulting from your use of the app or reliance on its features.
If we are found liable for any reason, our total liability will not exceed $100 or the equivalent value of damages directly related to your use of the app.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Luie if:
You violate these Terms of Use.
It is required to comply with legal obligations.
Your use of the Services poses harm or risk to others or to Luie.
If we terminate your access, we will notify you and provide an opportunity to address any issues where possible.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes must be resolved in the federal or state courts located in California.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If there are significant changes, we will notify you through the app or email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using Luie.
